🕒Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
📍Location: MAC, Second-Floor Lounge

Flu vaccinations will be available at no cost for individuals enrolled in an accepted insurance plan. Additional vaccines will also be offered (can be selected during registration). Coverage varies by insurance plan, and vaccines not covered by insurance will be available through self-pay.

We are celebrating the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Atlas of Champions, an exhibit featuring one historic map to represent each country competing in the "world's premier international competition."

Atlas of Champions includes over 60 maps created over the course of six centuries and in nine different languages. The exhibit also features photographs and artifacts from the 1994 World Cup games in Dallas.

As athletes and fans travel from across the globe to watch the World Cup, we invite all to explore the history of cartography.

The exhibit will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the sixth floor of the Central Library. It is free and open to all! Limited giveaway items will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Working across digital painting, documentary cinema, visual communication design, and art education, these four professors share an interest in learning through close attention to people and their stories, urban systems and discarded materials, activist communities, and artists and histories that have been overlooked. Their practices begin with encounters that challenge assumptions and open up new ways of seeing, thinking, and making. These same approaches shape their classrooms, where students learn to investigate the world, follow questions, trace connections, and imagine what might be possible.

Assistant Professor of Cinematic Arts Danielle Beverly brings more than two decades of experience in documentary production and visual storytelling to UTA. The exhibition screens five of her feature-length documentaries, recognized for their intimate observational attention to people and communities navigating moments of transformation. Her films move from girls coming of age within a multinational gymnastics community (Qatar Stars, 2023) to histories of racial division and healing in the American South (Old South, 2015); from the emotional weight of objects we leave behind (Dusty Groove: The Sound of Transition, 2019) to artists who transform personal struggle (Learning to Swallow, 2005) or discarded materials into new forms of possibility (Lonnie Holley: The Truth of the Dirt, 2017). Across these varied subjects, Beverly uses time, trust, and close observation to reveal how individual lives are shaped by larger systems of race, gender, history, and belonging.

Assistant Professor of Painting Liz Trosper works between screens, scanners, her studio, and city curbsides, exploring how systems of technology, waste, and exchange might generate new possibilities for painting and community. In her ongoing project ALT+drag, Trosper develops a practice of “digital psychogeography,” systematically exploring urban landscapes and embedding curbside discoveries into digital paintings through improvisational scanning. Her persistent fascination with pipes, pipelines, hoses, cables, among other discarded materials forms the basis of a new site-specific installation at The Gallery at UTA, where objects marked for disposal are transformed into a large-scale installation and shareable artifacts. At its expansive scale, the work foregrounds physical gestures, glitches, and material traces embedded in digital image-making. Trosper’s practice expands the possibilities of self-portraiture by embracing the visible traces of touch, the physical presence of human flesh on technological surfaces, and productive chaos, while resisting the sleek, frictionless aesthetics of digital culture. Across commercial, environmental, and community contexts, Singh’s collaborative projects address complex ethical issues. The exhibition features campaigns addressing wildlife trafficking, a Goodwill campaign focused on sustainable reuse, and BRAID (Black Restorative Agriculture Incubation & Development), an award-winning identity supporting Black women farmers and confronting systemic barriers surrounding land and agriculture. The images on view demonstrate Singh’s expansive interest in visual storytelling that amplifies underrepresented voices, collective identities, and imagines more sustainable and equitable futures through interdisciplinary collaboration.

The exhibition presents Bartholomee’s published research alongside creative responses developed with student collaborators, who have reimagined her texts for the gallery through engaging printmaking techniques. The project reflects her broader commitment to elevating women artists and empowering students to see themselves as active participants in the production of art discourse and visual culture.

Working across digital painting, documentary cinema, visual communication design, and art education, these four professors share an interest in learning through close attention to people and their stories, urban systems and discarded materials, activist communities, and artists and histories that have been overlooked. Their practices begin with encounters that challenge assumptions and open up new ways of seeing, thinking, and making. These same approaches shape their classrooms, where students learn to investigate the world, follow questions, trace connections, and imagine what might be possible.

Assistant Professor of Cinematic Arts Danielle Beverly brings more than two decades of experience in documentary production and visual storytelling to UTA. The exhibition screens five of her feature-length documentaries, recognized for their intimate observational attention to people and communities navigating moments of transformation. Her films move from girls coming of age within a multinational gymnastics community (Qatar Stars, 2023) to histories of racial division and healing in the American South (Old South, 2015); from the emotional weight of objects we leave behind (Dusty Groove: The Sound of Transition, 2019) to artists who transform personal struggle (Learning to Swallow, 2005) or discarded materials into new forms of possibility (Lonnie Holley: The Truth of the Dirt, 2017). Across these varied subjects, Beverly uses time, trust, and close observation to reveal how individual lives are shaped by larger systems of race, gender, history, and belonging.

Assistant Professor of Painting Liz Trosper works between screens, scanners, her studio, and city curbsides, exploring how systems of technology, waste, and exchange might generate new possibilities for painting and community. In her ongoing project ALT+drag, Trosper develops a practice of “digital psychogeography,” systematically exploring urban landscapes and embedding curbside discoveries into digital paintings through improvisational scanning. Her persistent fascination with pipes, pipelines, hoses, cables, among other discarded materials forms the basis of a new site-specific installation at The Gallery at UTA, where objects marked for disposal are transformed into a large-scale installation and shareable artifacts. At its expansive scale, the work foregrounds physical gestures, glitches, and material traces embedded in digital image-making. Trosper’s practice expands the possibilities of self-portraiture by embracing the visible traces of touch, the physical presence of human flesh on technological surfaces, and productive chaos, while resisting the sleek, frictionless aesthetics of digital culture. A section of the installation extends these ideas into the historic indoor garden of the Fine Arts Building, exploring connections between cultivation, discarded materials, and digital systems.

The creative practice of Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design Ananya Singh demonstrates how design can become a tool for advocacy and social change. Across commercial, environmental, and community contexts, Singh’s collaborative projects address complex ethical issues. The exhibition features campaigns addressing wildlife trafficking, a Goodwill campaign focused on sustainable reuse, and BRAID (Black Restorative Agriculture Incubation & Development), an award-winning identity supporting Black women farmers and confronting systemic barriers surrounding land and agriculture. The images on view demonstrate Singh’s expansive interest in visual storytelling that amplifies underrepresented voices, collective identities, and imagines more sustainable and equitable futures through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Assistant Professor of Art Education Dr. Lucy Bartholomee’s practice centers on expanding whose histories, perspectives, and creative possibilities enter the classroom and contemporary culture. Her recent research on Swedish artist Hilma af Klint examines the artist’s pioneering abstraction, spiritual practices, and resistance to the patriarchal systems that marginalized her work. Bartholomee extends this research into her teaching, using art history as a catalyst for students to explore symbolism, abstraction, identity, and their own creative voices. The exhibition presents Bartholomee’s published research alongside creative responses developed with student collaborators, who have reimagined her texts for the gallery through engaging printmaking techniques. The project reflects her broader commitment to elevating women artists and empowering students to see themselves as active participants in the production of art discourse and visual culture.

We are celebrating the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Atlas of Champions, an exhibit featuring one historic map to represent each country competing in the "world's premier international competition."

Atlas of Champions includes over 60 maps created over the course of six centuries and in nine different languages. The exhibit also features photographs and artifacts from the 1994 World Cup games in Dallas.

As athletes and fans travel from across the globe to watch the World Cup, we invite all to explore the history of cartography.

The exhibit will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the sixth floor of the Central Library. It is free and open to all! Limited giveaway items will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We are celebrating the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Atlas of Champions, an exhibit featuring one historic map to represent each country competing in the "world's premier international competition."

Atlas of Champions includes over 60 maps created over the course of six centuries and in nine different languages. The exhibit also features photographs and artifacts from the 1994 World Cup games in Dallas.

As athletes and fans travel from across the globe to watch the World Cup, we invite all to explore the history of cartography.

The exhibit will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the sixth floor of the Central Library. It is free and open to all! Limited giveaway items will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Working across digital painting, documentary cinema, visual communication design, and art education, these four professors share an interest in learning through close attention to people and their stories, urban systems and discarded materials, activist communities, and artists and histories that have been overlooked. Their practices begin with encounters that challenge assumptions and open up new ways of seeing, thinking, and making. These same approaches shape their classrooms, where students learn to investigate the world, follow questions, trace connections, and imagine what might be possible.

Danielle Beverly

Assistant Professor of Cinematic Arts Danielle Beverly brings more than two decades of experience in documentary production and visual storytelling to UTA. The exhibition screens five of her feature-length documentaries, recognized for their intimate observational attention to people and communities navigating moments of transformation. Her films move from girls coming of age within a multinational gymnastics community (Qatar Stars, 2023) to histories of racial division and healing in the American South (Old South, 2015); from the emotional weight of objects we leave behind (Dusty Groove: The Sound of Transition, 2019) to artists who transform personal struggle (Learning to Swallow, 2005) or discarded materials into new forms of possibility (Lonnie Holley: The Truth of the Dirt, 2017). Across these varied subjects, Beverly uses time, trust, and close observation to reveal how individual lives are shaped by larger systems of race, gender, history, and belonging.

Assistant Professor of Painting Liz Trosper works between screens, scanners, her studio, and city curbsides, exploring how systems of technology, waste, and exchange might generate new possibilities for painting and community. In her ongoing project ALT+drag, Trosper develops a practice of “digital psychogeography,” systematically exploring urban landscapes and embedding curbside discoveries into digital paintings through improvisational scanning. Her persistent fascination with pipes, pipelines, hoses, cables, among other discarded materials forms the basis of a new site-specific installation at The Gallery at UTA, where objects marked for disposal are transformed into a large-scale installation and shareable artifacts. At its expansive scale, the work foregrounds physical gestures, glitches, and material traces embedded in digital image-making. Trosper’s practice expands the possibilities of self-portraiture by embracing the visible traces of touch, the physical presence of human flesh on technological surfaces, and productive chaos, while resisting the sleek, frictionless aesthetics of digital culture. A section of the installation extends these ideas into the historic indoor garden of the Fine Arts Building, exploring connections between cultivation, discarded materials, and digital systems.

The creative practice of Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design Ananya Singh demonstrates how design can become a tool for advocacy and social change. Across commercial, environmental, and community contexts, Singh’s collaborative projects address complex ethical issues. The exhibition features campaigns addressing wildlife trafficking, a Goodwill campaign focused on sustainable reuse, and BRAID (Black Restorative Agriculture Incubation & Development), an award-winning identity supporting Black women farmers and confronting systemic barriers surrounding land and agriculture. The images on view demonstrate Singh’s expansive interest in visual storytelling that amplifies underrepresented voices, collective identities, and imagines more sustainable and equitable futures through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Assistant Professor of Art Education Dr. Lucy Bartholomee’s practice centers on expanding whose histories, perspectives, and creative possibilities enter the classroom and contemporary culture. Her recent research on Swedish artist Hilma af Klint examines the artist’s pioneering abstraction, spiritual practices, and resistance to the patriarchal systems that marginalized her work. Bartholomee extends this research into her teaching, using art history as a catalyst for students to explore symbolism, abstraction, identity, and their own creative voices. The exhibition presents Bartholomee’s published research alongside creative responses developed with student collaborators, who have reimagined her texts for the gallery through engaging printmaking techniques. The project reflects her broader commitment to elevating women artists and empowering students to see themselves as active participants in the production of art discourse and visual culture.

Girls Who Code along with the Computer Science and Engineering Department is hosting a programming contest on Saturday, Sept. 19, from noon to 4 p.m. in the Social Work Smart Hospital, Rooms 104/105. Pizza and drinks will be provided to fuel your coding! Prizes will be awarded to the top teams in the pre-professional, professional and graduate student categories.

This contest will use HackerRank so please sign up for a HackerRank account before the contest if you do not already have one. Students may work in teams of up to 2 people.

Only one device per team is allowed, and each team will be provided with a laptop. Contestants may bring their own USB C keyboards and mice. Contestants will not be allowed to use their own computers. The provided laptop will be locked down to only using the HackerRank website.

The available languages are Java, Python, C, and C++. Some questions may only allow certain languages. No Internet resources will be allowed. Limited published written materials are allowed once approved by a contest moderator.

The actual length of the coding portion of the contest is 3 hours. Registration will open at noon. Contest will begin at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m.

Her persistent fascination with pipes, pipelines, hoses, cables, among other discarded materials forms the basis of a new site-specific installation at The Gallery at UTA, where objects marked for disposal are transformed into a large-scale installation and shareable artifacts. At its expansive scale, the work foregrounds physical gestures, glitches, and material traces embedded in digital image-making. The images on view demonstrate Singh’s expansive interest in visual storytelling that amplifies underrepresented voices, collective identities, and imagines more sustainable and equitable futures through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Her recent research on Swedish artist Hilma af Klint examines the artist’s pioneering abstraction, spiritual practices, and resistance to the patriarchal systems that marginalized her work. Bartholomee extends this research into her teaching, using art history as a catalyst for students to explore symbolism, abstraction, identity, and their own creative voices. The exhibition presents Bartholomee’s published research alongside creative responses developed with student collaborators, who have reimagined her texts for the gallery through engaging printmaking techniques. The project reflects her broader commitment to elevating women artists and empowering students to see themselves as active participants in the production of art discourse and visual culture.

Assistant Professor of Cinematic Arts Danielle Beverly brings more than two decades of experience in documentary production and visual storytelling to UTA. The exhibition screens five of her feature-length documentaries, recognized for their intimate observational attention to people and communities navigating moments of transformation. Her films move from girls coming of age within a multinational gymnastics community (Qatar Stars, 2023) to histories of racial division and healing in the American South (Old South, 2015); from the emotional weight of objects we leave behind (Dusty Groove: The Sound of Transition, 2019) to artists who transform personal struggle (Learning to Swallow, 2005) or discarded materials into new forms of possibility (Lonnie Holley: The Truth of the Dirt, 2017). Across these varied subjects, Beverly uses time, trust, and close observation to reveal how individual lives are shaped by larger systems of race, gender, history, and belonging.

Assistant Professor of Painting Liz Trosper works between screens, scanners, her studio, and city curbsides, exploring how systems of technology, waste, and exchange might generate new possibilities for painting and community. In her ongoing project ALT+drag, Trosper develops a practice of “digital psychogeography,” systematically exploring urban landscapes and embedding curbside discoveries into digital paintings through improvisational scanning. Her persistent fascination with pipes, pipelines, hoses, cables, among other discarded materials forms the basis of a new site-specific installation at The Gallery at UTA, where objects marked for disposal are transformed into a large-scale installation and shareable artifacts. At its expansive scale, the work foregrounds physical gestures, glitches, and material traces embedded in digital image-making. Trosper’s practice expands the possibilities of self-portraiture by embracing the visible traces of touch, the physical presence of human flesh on technological surfaces, and productive chaos, while resisting the sleek, frictionless aesthetics of digital culture. A section of the installation extends these ideas into the historic indoor garden of the Fine Arts Building, exploring connections between cultivation, discarded materials, and digital systems.

Across commercial, environmental, and community contexts, Singh’s collaborative projects address complex ethical issues. The exhibition features campaigns addressing wildlife trafficking, a Goodwill campaign focused on sustainable reuse, and BRAID (Black Restorative Agriculture Incubation & Development), an award-winning identity supporting Black women farmers and confronting systemic barriers surrounding land and agriculture. The images on view demonstrate Singh’s expansive interest in visual storytelling that amplifies underrepresented voices, collective identities, and imagines more sustainable and equitable futures through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Lucy Bartholomee

Assistant Professor of Art Education Dr. Lucy Bartholomee’s practice centers on expanding whose histories, perspectives, and creative possibilities enter the classroom and contemporary culture. Her recent research on Swedish artist Hilma af Klint examines the artist’s pioneering abstraction, spiritual practices, and resistance to the patriarchal systems that marginalized her work. Bartholomee extends this research into her teaching, using art history as a catalyst for students to explore symbolism, abstraction, identity, and their own creative voices. The exhibition presents Bartholomee’s published research alongside creative responses developed with student collaborators, who have reimagined her texts for the gallery through engaging printmaking techniques. The project reflects her broader commitment to elevating women artists and empowering students to see themselves as active participants in the production of art discourse and visual culture.

Working across digital painting, documentary cinema, visual communication design, and art education, these four professors share an interest in learning through close attention to people and their stories, urban systems and discarded materials, activist communities, and artists and histories that have been overlooked. Their practices begin with encounters that challenge assumptions and open up new ways of seeing, thinking, and making. These same approaches shape their classrooms, where students learn to investigate the world, follow questions, trace connections, and imagine what might be possible.

Working across digital painting, documentary cinema, visual communication design, and art education, these four professors share an interest in learning through close attention to people and their stories, urban systems and discarded materials, activist communities, and artists and histories that have been overlooked. Their practices begin with encounters that challenge assumptions and open up new ways of seeing, thinking, and making. These same approaches shape their classrooms, where students learn to investigate the world, follow questions, trace connections, and imagine what might be possible.

Danielle Beverly

Assistant Professor of Cinematic Arts Danielle Beverly brings more than two decades of experience in documentary production and visual storytelling to UTA. The exhibition screens five of her feature-length documentaries, recognized for their intimate observational attention to people and communities navigating moments of transformation. Her films move from girls coming of age within a multinational gymnastics community (Qatar Stars, 2023) to histories of racial division and healing in the American South (Old South, 2015); from the emotional weight of objects we leave behind (Dusty Groove: The Sound of Transition, 2019) to artists who transform personal struggle (Learning to Swallow, 2005) or discarded materials into new forms of possibility (Lonnie Holley: The Truth of the Dirt, 2017). Across these varied subjects, Beverly uses time, trust, and close observation to reveal how individual lives are shaped by larger systems of race, gender, history, and belonging.

Assistant Professor of Painting Liz Trosper works between screens, scanners, her studio, and city curbsides, exploring how systems of technology, waste, and exchange might generate new possibilities for painting and community. In her ongoing project ALT+drag, Trosper develops a practice of “digital psychogeography,” systematically exploring urban landscapes and embedding curbside discoveries into digital paintings through improvisational scanning. Her persistent fascination with pipes, pipelines, hoses, cables, among other discarded materials forms the basis of a new site-specific installation at The Gallery at UTA, where objects marked for disposal are transformed into a large-scale installation and shareable artifacts. At its expansive scale, the work foregrounds physical gestures, glitches, and material traces embedded in digital image-making. Trosper’s practice expands the possibilities of self-portraiture by embracing the visible traces of touch, the physical presence of human flesh on technological surfaces, and productive chaos, while resisting the sleek, frictionless aesthetics of digital culture. A section of the installation extends these ideas into the historic indoor garden of the Fine Arts Building, exploring connections between cultivation, discarded materials, and digital systems.

The creative practice of Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design Ananya Singh demonstrates how design can become a tool for advocacy and social change. Across commercial, environmental, and community contexts, Singh’s collaborative projects address complex ethical issues. The exhibition features campaigns addressing wildlife trafficking, a Goodwill campaign focused on sustainable reuse, and BRAID (Black Restorative Agriculture Incubation & Development), an award-winning identity supporting Black women farmers and confronting systemic barriers surrounding land and agriculture. The images on view demonstrate Singh’s expansive interest in visual storytelling that amplifies underrepresented voices, collective identities, and imagines more sustainable and equitable futures through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Lucy Bartholomee

Assistant Professor of Art Education Dr. Lucy Bartholomee’s practice centers on expanding whose histories, perspectives, and creative possibilities enter the classroom and contemporary culture. Her recent research on Swedish artist Hilma af Klint examines the artist’s pioneering abstraction, spiritual practices, and resistance to the patriarchal systems that marginalized her work. Bartholomee extends this research into her teaching, using art history as a catalyst for students to explore symbolism, abstraction, identity, and their own creative voices. The exhibition presents Bartholomee’s published research alongside creative responses developed with student collaborators, who have reimagined her texts for the gallery through engaging printmaking techniques. The project reflects her broader commitment to elevating women artists and empowering students to see themselves as active participants in the production of art discourse and visual culture.

The two-day program will feature lectures, panel discussions, and special events that explore the cultural, political, and scientific influences that have shaped Antarctic cartography over five centuries. An accompanying exhibit will allow viewers to journey through ice and time by exploring the pivotal maps that defined Antarctica from the cartographic collections at UTA's Special Collections.

The two-day program will feature lectures, panel discussions, and special events that explore the cultural, political, and scientific influences that have shaped Antarctic cartography over five centuries. An accompanying exhibit will allow viewers to journey through ice and time by exploring the pivotal maps that defined Antarctica from the cartographic collections at UTA's Special Collections.

Working across digital painting, documentary cinema, visual communication design, and art education, these four professors share an interest in learning through close attention to people and their stories, urban systems and discarded materials, activist communities, and artists and histories that have been overlooked. Their practices begin with encounters that challenge assumptions and open up new ways of seeing, thinking, and making. These same approaches shape their classrooms, where students learn to investigate the world, follow questions, trace connections, and imagine what might be possible.

Danielle Beverly

Assistant Professor of Cinematic Arts Danielle Beverly brings more than two decades of experience in documentary production and visual storytelling to UTA. The exhibition screens five of her feature-length documentaries, recognized for their intimate observational attention to people and communities navigating moments of transformation. Her films move from girls coming of age within a multinational gymnastics community (Qatar Stars, 2023) to histories of racial division and healing in the American South (Old South, 2015); from the emotional weight of objects we leave behind (Dusty Groove: The Sound of Transition, 2019) to artists who transform personal struggle (Learning to Swallow, 2005) or discarded materials into new forms of possibility (Lonnie Holley: The Truth of the Dirt, 2017). Across these varied subjects, Beverly uses time, trust, and close observation to reveal how individual lives are shaped by larger systems of race, gender, history, and belonging.

Liz Trosper

Assistant Professor of Painting Liz Trosper works between screens, scanners, her studio, and city curbsides, exploring how systems of technology, waste, and exchange might generate new possibilities for painting and community. In her ongoing project ALT+drag, Trosper develops a practice of “digital psychogeography,” systematically exploring urban landscapes and embedding curbside discoveries into digital paintings through improvisational scanning. Her persistent fascination with pipes, pipelines, hoses, cables, among other discarded materials forms the basis of a new site-specific installation at The Gallery at UTA, where objects marked for disposal are transformed into a large-scale installation and shareable artifacts. At its expansive scale, the work foregrounds physical gestures, glitches, and material traces embedded in digital image-making. Trosper’s practice expands the possibilities of self-portraiture by embracing the visible traces of touch, the physical presence of human flesh on technological surfaces, and productive chaos, while resisting the sleek, frictionless aesthetics of digital culture. A section of the installation extends these ideas into the historic indoor garden of the Fine Arts Building, exploring connections between cultivation, discarded materials, and digital systems.

Ananya Singh

The creative practice of Assistant Professor of Visual Communication Design Ananya Singh demonstrates how design can become a tool for advocacy and social change. Across commercial, environmental, and community contexts, Singh’s collaborative projects address complex ethical issues. The exhibition features campaigns addressing wildlife trafficking, a Goodwill campaign focused on sustainable reuse, and BRAID (Black Restorative Agriculture Incubation & Development), an award-winning identity supporting Black women farmers and confronting systemic barriers surrounding land and agriculture. The images on view demonstrate Singh’s expansive interest in visual storytelling that amplifies underrepresented voices, collective identities, and imagines more sustainable and equitable futures through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Lucy Bartholomee

Assistant Professor of Art Education Dr. Lucy Bartholomee’s practice centers on expanding whose histories, perspectives, and creative possibilities enter the classroom and contemporary culture. Her recent research on Swedish artist Hilma af Klint examines the artist’s pioneering abstraction, spiritual practices, and resistance to the patriarchal systems that marginalized her work. Bartholomee extends this research into her teaching, using art history as a catalyst for students to explore symbolism, abstraction, identity, and their own creative voices. The exhibition presents Bartholomee’s published research alongside creative responses developed with student collaborators, who have reimagined her texts for the gallery through engaging printmaking techniques. The project reflects her broader commitment to elevating women artists and empowering students to see themselves as active participants in the production of art discourse and visual culture.

Presenter Bio: Stacie Ellis is the registered dietitian at UTA, where she provides nutrition consultations and education for the students and staff on campus. Dr. Ellis is the proud owner of EXCELLIS Nutrition, a company geared toward performance nutrition, weight management, disordered eating, and medical nutrition therapy. She serves as a consulting dietitian for Wellness Concepts and Health Fairs Direct. She has been interviewed with PBS News Hour, Women’s Health Magazine, The Oak Cliff Documentary, and Texas Metro News. Ellis graduated with her Doctoral degree in Nutrition with a minor in Kinesiology at Texas Woman's University and she also completed the Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management Program on June 4-6, 2015.

Inspired by the time-honored military tradition of wreath laying ceremonies at places such as Arlington National Cemetery, this solemn event serves as a moment of reflection and remembrance for those who have worn the nation’s uniform. Through this ceremony, we recognize the courage and commitment of all veterans while paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country.

The Wreath Laying Ceremony is one of several events during Veterans Week at UTA, a week dedicated to celebrating the contributions of veterans, service members, and military-connected students through a series of educational, commemorative, and community-focused events.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and members of the community are invited to attend as we come together to honor those who have served and reaffirm our commitment to supporting the military-connected community at UTA.
