The application for the Summer 2026 Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) and Undergraduate Research Assistant Program (UGRAP) is now open!

These programs offer undergraduate students the opportunity to engage in hands-on research alongside UTA faculty members across various disciplines. Whether you are interested in engineering, business, theatre, psychology, biology, or any other field, these programs are open to all majors! For more information about these programs, click here.

By participating in UROP/UGRAP, students will have the chance to:

• Gain practical research experience

• Collaborate with faculty members and peers

• Contribute to cutting-edge projects

• Enhance their critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Prepare for future career or academic endeavors

• Receive funding

Eligibility Requirements:

• Full-time UTA undergraduate student

• Minimum 2.75 CGPA

• UROP: Open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and international students

• UGRAP: Open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents – Work-study eligibility (required)

Important Dates:

• Applications Open: March 1, 2026
