 72. Teaching at the University of Texas at Arlington beginning in 1999\, W
 eiss encouraged students to experiment with new technology as it developed
  over the years and ultimately emphasized the importance of cinema as a st
 orytelling language.\n\n \n\nOrganized to highlight Bart’s involvement i
 n the evolution of his field\, the exhibition displays groupings of his pr
 ojects ranging from 1976 to 2024. Works shown were produced using a histor
 y of technologies that defined these decades\, from 16 mm film to Hi8\, Be
 tacam\, and\, recently\, 6K cameras and mobile media. Diverse genres\, inc
 luding documentaries\, narratives\, music videos\, experimental projection
 s\, films about music\, and comedies are included. His range as producer\,
  director\, actor\, and editor of projects is also highlighted including s
 elections from his over 25 years as producer of KERA’ Frame of Mind tele
 vision show\, and as co-founder and producer of the annual Dallas VideoFes
 t. His most recent project\, a book titled Smartphone Cinema - Making Grea
 t Films with Your Mobile Phone published by Focal Press in late 2024\, wil
 l also be on display alongside close to 50 samples of his independent film
