Team projects are a common source of frustration for students, yet strong communication and collaboration skills are among the most sought-after qualities by employers. How can we better prepare students to succeed working in teams?

In this interactive workshop, you’ll explore a practical, research-based activity you can integrate into any discipline to help students develop essential team communication skills. Drawing on Daniel Goleman’s emotional intelligence framework and Patrick Lencioni’s model of effective teams, the session will offer both strategies and methods to enhance team dynamics in your classroom.

Participants will walk away with a ready-to-use assignment or in-class activity designed to improve team performance and student outcomes.

This session is hybrid. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.
