As part of the UTA Political Science Haggard Lecture Series, and in collaboration with the Center for Mexican America Studies (CMAS),  David de la Fuente will give a lecture on "How to land a good job in a political campaign."

David de la Fuente will discuss his expertise, strategies, and insights on working on political campaigns.

De la Fuente has deep roots in the DFW metroplex, a longstanding interest in national and local politics, and expertise in helping students find work on political campaigns. He is the senior political analyst in the Social Policy and Politics Program at Third Way, where he studies political and electoral trends and manages the organization’s electoral reform work. Previously, David worked on the political team at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee IE. He worked as the campaign manager for Dallas City Councilmember Chad West, who represents District 1, and Congressman Marc Veassy representing Texas District 33 in the U.S. House of Representatives. David graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University. He serves as the chair of the Latino Alumni of SMU Board.

The lecture is free and open to the public.
