Part lecture, part musical performance, and part interactive discussion, Joe Goodkin’s presentation features a 35-minute performance (guitar and voice) of 24 songs inspired by Homer’s epic poem, The Odyssey. In turn the songs inspire discussions of such themes as identity, character, oral tradition, and myth.

Goodkin has performed in high schools and universities across the country, including Brown, Harvard, Stanford, and Cornell. His performance was honored in 2003, 2004, and 2012 with an ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers) Award.
