Jess Mitchell, Manager of the Inclusive Design Research Centre at OCAD University, will join our OER community discussion on July 11 to facilitate a conversation about accessibility and inclusive design. Jess delivered a powerful keynote presentation at last year's Open Education Conference. We have much to learn from her on this important topic, which permeates all of our work in higher education.

The community discussion will be held 1 – 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, in Central Library 315A. It is open to all UTA faculty and staff; no RSVP required.

Guests who cannot attend in person are invited to join online via the Microsoft Teams Open Education channel.

This was an excellent session. Jess Mitchell did a great job of bringing up topics that more educators need to think through with inclusive design. But I especially like the points that there are often no "one-size fits all" answers with inclusive design. There are often many answers and perspectives that need to be taken into account. Sometimes these perspectives are in disagreement with each other. Lots of food for thought in this session.
