Friends of the Libraries : Roger Broom

Roger Broom is the author of mystery novels Barbecuing Dragons, Scorned Vulgate, and Messin’ with Medusa.

He holds an MBA degree from the UTA and a BBA degree from Texas Christian University. His novels are sprinkled with Fort Worth and Arlington landmarks and history and are set in the modern era.

Roger will deliver a fast-paced PowerPoint presentation on Barbecuing Dragons and will emphasize three phenomena that inspired the novel: (1) the fading and forgotten memories of Tarrant County’s military contributions during World Wars I and II, (2) the current threats posed by the People’s Republic of China and North Korea, and (3) a science project involving sub-atomic particles.  From those realities as grist, Roger adds a plot including international intrigues and threats and the sometimes humorous views of Fort Worth life as seen through North Korean eyes.
