http://www.uta.edu/healthservices #NationalNutritionMonth #UTAcares #HealthyMaverickBlood sugar, also known as blood glucose, comes from the food you eat. Your body creates blood sugar by digesting some food into a sugar that circulates in your bloodstream for energy. The sugar that isn’t needed to fuel your body right away gets stored in cells for later use. Too much sugar in your blood can be harmful and can lead to Type 2 diabetes.
Find out your blood sugar level with a free walk-in screening at the health center. All participants will be entered into a raffle for a free nutritional blood panel testing, valued at $100.
This event is limited to current UTA students only.
