Presenter Bio: Stacie Ellis is the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Licensed Dietitian for the Department of Campus Recreation at UTA where she provides nutrition consultations for students and staff. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate at Texas Woman’s University in the Nutrition Department with a minor in Kinesiology. Her research interest involves looking at the effects of a high carb diet versus a moderately high-fat diet on dancer’s performance. Stacie attended TWU for her Master's Degree in Nutrition. Her thesis was on the effects of using an Athlete’s Plate for Easy Training/ Weight Management on a dancer's body composition and overall health. Stacie previously served as a Clinical Dietitian at Texas General Hospital, Texas Health Hospital, and American Health Assessments. She provided nutritional expertise as a consultant for Just Train, a celebrity personal trainer; was a partnered with Honeymoon Body, a vendor for Brides of North Texas; and was Chief Nutrition Officer for Vitafive Gummy Vitamin Company.
