Join us at EpICMavs! Produced in collaboration with our partners at TechFW, EpICMavs is offered every Thursday from 4:30pm-5:30pm during the academic year. Each week features a guest speaker on an entrepreneurship-related topic and includes a discussion session where students, faculty, staff and members of the community further explore the topic and get to know each other.

About the speaker
Dr. Pyayt Oo is an assistant professor of management at The University of Texas at Arlington. His research centers on entrepreneurial resource acquisition and innovation. He is interested in understanding how entrepreneurs’ verbal and nonverbal behaviors and sources of innovation influence on investment decisions in crowdfunding and other novel means of resource acquisition. His work has appeared in the Journal of Business Venturing and other outlets. His research has been presented at the annual meetings of the Academy of Management, the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference, and the Strategic Management Society.
