Dr. Opal Lee, the Grandmother of Juneteenth and nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize, will be coming to UTA on Wednesday, April 13, for a conversation about the National Juneteenth Museum coming to Fort Worth. Hear about this amazing project and Dr. Lee’s work to spread awareness about Juneteenth and Black history in the South.
This event is organized and sponsored by The Art & Art History Department DEI Committee, the Center for African American Studies, The Office of the Vice President of DEI at UTA, and the NAACP Chapter at UTA.
