Would you like to meet faculty teaching in the minor, find out about internship possibilities and meet potential internship supervisors and interns, hear why students are minoring in Disability Studies and how a DS minor can help your career or graduate school plans? Want to hear about our internship scholarships, upcoming events, and/or the Texas Disability History Collection?

Are you wondering what “normal” means, what a cyborg is, or about the experiences of the largest minority on the planet—the only one everyone can join? Do you want an internship for which you can receive a scholarship or stipend? If so, come to the meet and greet to learn more and enjoy a free lunch!  Disability Studies works with virtually any major at UTA!

This is a “come and go” event; you do not need to attend for the whole time, but please RSVP to Disability Studies Minor and Adapted Sports Advisor Mikila Salazar at mikila.salazar@uta.edu if you think you may come so that we can estimate our pizza order.

For more information about the minor, please visit http://disabilitystudies.uta.edu or visit the Instagram page @utadisabilitystudies. ASL and CART (open captioning) will be provided for this event, which is co-sponsored by the SAR Center. If you need a disability-related accommodation to fully participate in this event, please contact Disability Studies Minor and Adapted Sports Academic Advisor Mikila Salazar at mikila.salazar@uta.edu.
