Join us at UTA Libraries to learn more about conducting oral histories!

Oral histories are the recorded interviews to capture a person’s story, giving relevant information for a specific event, time period, or place. These stories are important primary sources of first-hand accounts and can be done by recording audio or video conversations.

This workshop will give ideas for why you might do an oral history project, helpful tools for starting a project, conducting interviews, and documenting and preserving the audio/video files created.

Faculty interested in imbedding this workshop into their classes for credit, reach out to librariesops@uta.edu

Snacks will be provided.
