In this presentation, Dr. Whitney Kilgore outlines findings from her research on humanizing online teaching and learning, and shares the quick easy wins to create a more connected learning experience for students.
Following her presentation, Dr. Kilgore will conduct a workshop from 1:00-2:00pm in NH 246. During that time, we encourage instructors to bring questions, issues, ideas, etc. related to their courses for a collaborative discussion. Given the transition to Canvas for Fall 2019, this may be especially relevant for instructors wanting to update their courses.
Due to space limitations, please RSVP here: https://forms.gle/iTSQFWo2Dc9sM26bA After reaching capacity, we will notify and add registrants to a waiting list. However, we will also stream live at https://zoom.us/j/3883133502
This event is co-sponsored by the LINK Research Lab and the Center for Research on Teaching and Learning Excellence.
User Activity
I am a bit biased since I know Dr. Kilgore, but this was still objectively a great session. Whitney shared her experience and techniques for creating connected learning, and there was a lot that we all learned. I was only able to watch the live stream, but it seemed like everyone there was also learning as much as I was.
