About this Event
702 Planetarium Pl., Arlington, TX
Presented by the Digital Publishing Team in the Open Partnerships and Services Department of UTA Libraries, this workshop is especially important for graduate students who plan to pursue scholarly careers focused on publishing.
The workshop will cover the basics of IP and copyright as it relates to academic and scholarly publishing, including the contrast of the traditional publishing model and the emerging open access models and mandates. Attendees will hear about how open access increases scholarly impact, ensures compliance with federal mandates for STEM research, and will become the standard as current grad students move into their careers as academics and scholars. The workshop will last approximately 45 minutes with time for questions.
