Art Exhibition in The Gallery at UTA: 'Cross Currents'

The Gallery at UTA is pleased to present Cross Currents, an exhibition featuring three Texas artists, Melinda Laszczynski (Houston), Chris Powell (Fort Worth), and Fred Spaulding (Santa Fe, NM/Arlington) that will be on view at the University of Texas at Arlington from March 2-April 4, 2020.

(note: the gallery will be closed for Spring Break, March 9 -15.)

Curated by Art and Art History Professor Nicholas Wood, the common trait that connects these three interdisciplinary artists is a willingness to experiment with a variety of materials and processes. Wood notes that “despite educational and career backgrounds strongly focused in single media-specific histories and reference, each artist shares a desire and an evident inquisitive nature to use and explore multiple media with diverse material manipulations that have enriched and expanded their creative process.”
