An Evening of Black Excellence Ceremony is a pre-commencement celebration to honor Black, African and African American students who are graduating and have achieved certain milestones. This ceremony embraces the pillars of scholarship, heritage, culture and community to honor. This is for graduates to be celebrated and recognized for their accomplishments, as well as those who have helped the graduates achieve their goals.

Participation in the 2023 UTA An Evening of Black Excellence is open to all UTA undergraduate and graduate students who have earned their degree between Fall 2022, Spring 2023 and Summer 2023.

Graduates must register by May 3, 2023, to be listed in the program and receive a recognition gift. Registration for An Evening of Black Excellence cost $40 in which you will receive a portfolio, Kente Stoll, and t-shirt.

Tickets: Graduates will be limited to 2 tickets each. If there are additional tickets available after distribution, the committee will reach out to graduates. Ticket distribution information will be emailed to registered graduates only.
