Atlas of Champions includes over 60 maps created over the course of six centuries and in nine different languages. The exhibit also features photographs and artifacts from the 1994 World Cup games in Dallas.

As athletes and fans travel from across the globe to watch the World Cup, we invite all to explore the history of cartography.

The exhibit will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the sixth floor of the Central Library. It is free and open to all! Limited giveaway items will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Among the collection are several of Williams’ contemporaries, including Roy Fridge, Jim Love, Gene Owens, and Ed Storms. Williams himself is featured in the UTA Public Art Collection, and his sculpture Terminal Trio stands in front of the north façade of the Fine Art Building.

Also on view are a series of paintings and prints from both historical and contemporary artists of Texas. Please join us throughout the semester to celebrate these artists and their works.

We are celebrating the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Atlas of Champions, an exhibit featuring one historic map to represent each country competing in the "world's premier international competition."

Atlas of Champions includes over 60 maps created over the course of six centuries and in nine different languages. The exhibit also features photographs and artifacts from the 1994 World Cup games in Dallas.

As athletes and fans travel from across the globe to watch the World Cup, we invite all to explore the history of cartography.

The exhibit will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the sixth floor of the Central Library. It is free and open to all! Limited giveaway items will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Considered to be one of the first significant modern sculptors in Texas, Williams was known for innovative abstract forms that veered away from the popular art styles of Realism and Regionalism that depicted the human experience in more life-like and easily recognizable ways during the early and mid-20th century. Among the collection are several of Williams’ contemporaries, including Roy Fridge, Jim Love, Gene Owens, and Ed Storms. Williams himself is featured in the UTA Public Art Collection, and his sculpture Terminal Trio stands in front of the north façade of the Fine Art Building.

Also on view are a series of paintings and prints from both historical and contemporary artists of Texas. Please join us throughout the semester to celebrate these artists and their works.

Atlas of Champions includes over 60 maps created over the course of six centuries and in nine different languages. The exhibit also features photographs and artifacts from the 1994 World Cup games in Dallas.

As athletes and fans travel from across the globe to watch the World Cup, we invite all to explore the history of cartography.

Highlighted are several artworks from the Charles T. Williams Memorial Collection. Considered to be one of the first significant modern sculptors in Texas, Williams was known for innovative abstract forms that veered away from the popular art styles of Realism and Regionalism that depicted the human experience in more life-like and easily recognizable ways during the early and mid-20th century. Among the collection are several of Williams’ contemporaries, including Roy Fridge, Jim Love, Gene Owens, and Ed Storms. Williams himself is featured in the UTA Public Art Collection, and his sculpture Terminal Trio stands in front of the north façade of the Fine Art Building.

Atlas of Champions includes over 60 maps created over the course of six centuries and in nine different languages. The exhibit also features photographs and artifacts from the 1994 World Cup games in Dallas.

As athletes and fans travel from across the globe to watch the World Cup, we invite all to explore the history of cartography.

Originally from Sweden, Stenhammar left a midlife career as a medical doctor to pursue her passion for art-making. She is currently based in Fort Worth, Texas, with her family and is a Master of Fine Arts candidate at UTA.

Stenhammar’s work investigates transformation, materiality, and transcendence through painting, sculpture, and collage. Working intuitively with unstretched canvas, wood panels, acrylic and latex paint, charcoal, found materials, and hand-built ceramics, she approaches art-making as an encounter between herself, the materials, and the divine.

Through layered gestures and evolving forms, abstract marks gradually emerge into figurative imagery, reflecting her interest in discovering the extraordinary within the ordinary. Her artistic practice invites viewers to look beyond surface appearances and consider realities that extend beyond what is immediately visible.

This workshop is aimed at examining drafts of papers that lack concrete or in-depth analysis and considering instructor/peer feedback, and then demonstrating how students can employ their own critical thinking and communication skills to enhance and strengthen their arguments and analysis in writing.
