UTA Russian Film Series presents "Mother" (1926)

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution, UTA’s inaugural Russian Film Series features eight cinematic masterpieces devoted to Russia’s experience of War, Revolution, and Civil War, 1917-1924. 

Film #1 in the series is:

Mother (1926) 73 min. Silent

Based upon Maxim Gorky’s 1906 novel of the same name, this film by director Vsevolod Pudovkin tells the story of one woman’s struggle against the tsarist autocracy during the 1905 Revolution.
