Handshake Training Session: On-Campus Student Employment
We will be hosting a series of training sessions for those who plan on posting student worker positions in Handshake. At these workshops we will have a 30-45 minute discussion of the changes occurring to on-campus student employment, as well as help you to better understand the goal of student employment, types of student employment (work-study and non-work-study), how we can best support our student employees, as well as take time to show you how to set up your account, post a position, select a candidate, and close the search. The final 45-60 minutes will be a working session to help you download your positions from SNAP Job and set them up in the Handshake platform.
A laptop is recommended, but not required. If you plan on staying to post a position you will need to bring a laptop or mobile device.
All training sessions will take place in the UTA Lockheed Martin Career Development Center which is located within the University Center.
