Liquid Language: Reading For Water in an Era of Water Crises
Ned Schaumberg, the Seedbox postdoctoral fellow at UT-Arlington, will be talking about his on literary representations of water. Why should we pay attention to water in literature? What can it teach us about the water all around us, and our own relationships with it?
Following Dr. Schaumberg's talk, which will range from theoretical discussions of literature to written accounts of Hurricane Katrina, there will be a Q&A. This lecture will be interdisciplinary in focus, so please come even if you are not a literary scholar!
