Food For Thought: Increasing Muscle Adaptations through Blood Flow Restriction
Muscle size is commonly associated with increased strength and resilience. In the attempt to improve muscle hypertrophy, a variety of techniques have been developed. Recently, Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) has gained popularity due to its ease of application and purported significant results. Resistance training with BFR is recommended because lower intensities can be used to produce improved muscle size & strength outcomes. This presentation outlines the administration and benefits of BFR combined with resistance training for muscle size, strength, and other potential outcomes.
